Small Print is located in the lower ground floor of the multi million dollar Print Hall development. Spread across four floors, the development has rejuvenated the heritage listed Newspaper House building. With Perth food legend David Coomer (the man behind Star Anise, Pata Negra & Xacuteria Deli) operating as the Director of Food, The Print Hall has added another dimension to the Perth food scene since opening its doors in 2012.
As The Pavarotti's chosen venue for our daily coffee pilgrimage, it was about time we posted about Small Print. Operating as both a Bakery and Roastery, Small Print roast coffee beans sourced from all over the world on location and will usually have a few different coffee varieties on offer. You'll often see Simon Catoni (Head Roaster) operating the shiny stainless steel bean roaster during a visit. The cafe serves up a large assortment of freshly baked pastries, muffins, breads, baguettes, sandwiches, pies, pasties and sausage rolls.
It's always a tough choice at Small Print but we find it hard to go past the various pies on offer, from classics like Beef & Red Wine to more exotic combinations like Caramelised Onion & Jamon or Rabbit & Thyme. Served with a small side of greens, no matter what pie you choose you won't be disappointed. The quality of the ingredients are great and the pastry is fantastic.
With all of the items on the menu being under $10, exceptional service and damn good coffee, Small Print is one of The Pavarotti's favourite spots in Perth.
