Tip: Can't decide? The half/half salad option is a winner

Tucked away in a lane off William St is Willie Wagtail, a small cafe serving up some great food and coffee. Somewhat hidden, Willie Wagtail opens up into a courtyard that helps you forget you are in the middle of the bustling CBD. With all items under $10, the decision about what to have for lunch is extremely difficult. All food is prepared on location and you can tell that a lot of care and attention to detail has been put into their creations. Don't believe us? Check out their Instagram feed.
What really got our attention was the Salad. Yes, salad! We all know that You don't win friends with salad and it's not something that gets much air time on The Pavarotti. It's not that we don't enjoy a salad, it's just that it is hard to:
- Find a good salad for less than a tenor;
- Get suitably excited about said salad to write a review.
Now we have that catchy Simpsons jingle in your head, it is time to make a huge statement. We think that these are the best Pavarotti-priced salads in town. Can't pick between the salads on offer? The half and half option is a winner.
So salads don't tickle your fancy? Willie Wagtail also serves up a selection of baguettes, soups and baked goods all under $10. While we have not sampled the full range of the menu, the Wednesday Hot Lunch Special is fantastic. Slow cooked lamb served in a turkish bun with an Asian style slaw? Sign me up!
As lovers of all things pork, we will be heading back on a Friday to get amongst the Pork Belly Special... Willie Wagtail is a new favourite of The Pavarotti!
